Skating Rules
All skating at Sapphire skaters Events is at skaters' own risk. Sapphire Skaters cannot be held responsible for accidents which occur as a result of skating.
All skaters must obey the following skating rules of conduct to ensure an enjoyable, safe and pleasant skating experience:

Do not participate in roller skating if you are pregnant, have COVID-19 or any medical condition that may effect your abilities and or balance. Skaters are personally responsible for ensuring that they are fit to participate in Sapphire Skaters events.

Skating is not permitted in any area other than the sports hall.

If using your own skates: please ensure you have toe stops or jam plugs. Skating without either of these will not be permitted as it damages the floor. Wheels must be of equal size, clean and free of debris.

If using hire skates: Socks must be worn with hire skates.

No one is allowed on the skating area during a general session without wearing skates.

Carrying children while on the rink, including baby buggies are prohibited.

Adults should skate with children without holding hands.

All skaters travel in the same counter-clockwise direction unless instructed otherwise. Skating against the flow of skaters is not permitted.

When skating look out for other skaters. Always be alert and skate respectfully of others at all times. No pushing, chasing, sliding or throwing. Be courteous and considerate of the space of other skaters, marshals and supervisors.

In the event of a fall, keep hands out of the way of other skaters and get up as quickly as possible to avoid injury to or from passing skaters.

Never skate faster than you can control.

The use of camera, headsets, mobile phones or hand-held electronic devices are not allowed on the rink.

No food and drink onto the rink.

Observe coned off areas at all times.

Large or non-discrete jewellery should be removed prior to skating.

Skaters should leave the rink if they intend to make adjustments to their skates.

Please report all accidents or injuries to staff immediately.

Foul language or inappropriate behaviour will result in removal from the rink and/or the building. Rough play, speed skating will not be tolerated.

Sapphire skaters does not tolerate threatening, abusive or aggressive behaviour towards their staff members. We reserve the right to ask any customers displaying these behaviours to leave and to terminate their contract if they have blocked booked.
